Previous Experience
Prior to joining CNA, John gained his doctorate in Microbiology at Edinburgh followed by a senior management career providing expertise into the Biotechnology sector, the global agricultural supply industry and the fresh produce market. In 1993 he was a recipient of the inaugural Queens Award for Environmental Achievement.

Interests John maintains a strong, active interest in all aspects of bioscience developments and sustainability issues and was recently a consultancy partner in an anaerobic digestion R&D programme. Living in rural North Yorkshire, he takes pleasure in many outdoor pursuits and as a keen gardener, enjoys the fruits (and vegetables) of his labour. Additionally John has a continuing interest in his family’s agricultural enterprises.
