Robert is the principal consultant for the Transport, Engineering, and Utility sectors. He specialises in the following management disciplines: general, operational, engineering, facilities, finance, HR and IT at all levels covering bus and coach, automotive, rail, ports, airports, utility, renewable energy and logistics industries. Most work is undertaken in the middle to senior executive management roles. Robert believes in visiting the companies he works with to understand the culture and keeps in touch with both his candidates and clients in the early days to ensure they settle in quickly and productively. He now enjoys a high level of repeat business. He is a member of CILT, the Associate Parliamentary Road Transport Group and the Rail Breakfast Club.

Previous Experience
Robert had a successful career in the British Army culminating in commanding The Glosters on an operational tour before embarking on a second career in industry. He was operations director for Signet Armorlite Europe, (a distribution operation) taught at The Leadership Trust, was operations director of UMW-Dennis in Malaysia (building buses) and managing director of a commercial laundry equipment company before embarking on executive search over 4 years ago. He reckons he now has the experience to put a round peg into a round hole!

Interests
Away from the business Robert takes a passionate interest in Gloucester Rugby Club, keeps fit with tennis and walking his dogs over the Cotswolds, and relaxing with military history, world affairs and music. He is a trustee of The Emthonjeni Trust and The Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum. He is married with 3 grown up children.
