Stephen is the principle CNA consultant managing search assignments in the hire and construction equipment sectors. His clients include SME and Blue Chip manufacturers supplying plant, machinery, tools and associated consumables. Carrying out searches when specific account or distribution channel knowledge is required is also a specialism of this office. In addition to strategic executive level work Stephen’s expertise in surfacing appropriately qualified candidates quickly has proved extremely effective. Understanding the dynamics of a relatively niche market it’s issues, people and aspirations has provided us with a considerable competitive edge. Being considered as part of the industry rather than a generalist service provider has allowed business to flourish through referrals and recommendations.  Since joining C.N.A in 2002 Stephen has developed and maintained strong relationships with both clients and candidates and is passionate about the responsibility of career management.

Previous Experience
Over 20 years sales and operations experience within the UK hire industry. This includes 10 years with the HSS Hire Group performing management roles across general and specialist divisions including lifting equipment and powered access. Stephen completed special projects involving product selection, health and safety, HR and logistical issues.

Interests
Outside of work Stephen is a keen fencer (recreational rather than competitive!) and a committee member of his local club. Away from the fencing piste he “enjoys” the challenge of being a parent to two young children.
