Client Information - Our Fee Structure

At CNA we are open and transparent about how we calculate our fees. Our Consultants are experienced specialists who know what it takes and what it costs to do the job properly. We are serious about delivering successful outcomes every time.

CNA is different to most recruiters. Most Executive Search firms charge between 30% and 40% of the value of the first years' total package for the position. Their fees are usually phased in 3 portions with up to half paid up-front and non-refundable, and the remainder split between presentation of short list and acceptance of job offer. Whilst many company’s fees may reflect the seniority of the position or the market sector, they are often based more on company policy than the actual cost of conducting the assignment. CNA is different.

Because each and every assignment is unique, your CNA Consultant will take a detailed brief before agreeing a fee with you. This is because all assignments require different levels of people, time, travel, research and assessment tools. We use bespoke processes and cost our services appropriately in each case.  Your CNA Consultant will know your sector and the job function and therefore what is realistically required, at each stage, to deliver a successful outcome. In our discussions we will agree with you what fee is payable and when.

With CNA there are no hidden charges. Your Consultant will agree with you before commencing the Search what, if any, additional expenses will be charged and at what rate. It may be appropriate for you to reimburse candidates' travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses. All candidates will be aware that they need to seek your prior approval before incurring such expenses.  Certain assessment processes may require the hiring of special venues, the purchase of branded tools (e.g. psychometrics) or the employment of specialist consultants (e.g. Facilitators, Psychologists). These are additional and will be costed separately to the CNA search fees.

To ensure a successful outcome every time, we work on a mutual commitment basis. You rightly expect us to be committed to you, working tirelessly and specifically on your behalf to deliver the best available candidates. Likewise, we want to know you are also committed to us delivering a successful outcome for you. Success at this level requires consultants to work intensely and exclusively on your behalf.
