Client Information - Presenting The Job Offer

The race for talent doesn’t end until your preferred candidate has crossed the line, having accepted your job offer, worked through his/ her notice period, and commenced employment with you.

Your CNA Consultant will work closely with you to ensure your offer is most likely to be accepted. Its important you trust him/ her to broker the offer on your behalf, rather than risk losing the candidate by attempting it yourself. If you don’t, you could find yourself having to offer more and still risk this being declined. Having invested so much time, your CNA Consultant will know what your preferred candidate is motivated by. And it may not just be about the money. As important as presenting the job offer, your CNA Consultant will reinforce the benefits of the role and organisation, making use of the drivers identified by CABS®.

At CNA, we don’t inflate job offers. Repeat business is worth far more to us in pounds and reputation than the slightly higher one-off fee that could be derived from driving up the value of a remuneration package. That said, like you, we recognise you must compete in the market place to win talent. We’ll ensure you won’t lose a top-performing candidate for the sake of a trivial difference in reward expectation. Occasionally, it is necessary to ‘tweak’ an offer to gain mutual acceptance. We will act on your instruction and work to protect your relationship with your prospective appointee.

Once the job offer has been brokered and accepted, your CNA Consultant will continue the process begun some weeks before to undermine the potential for a counter-offer. Our involvement with both you and your appointee won’t stop until he/ she commences employment with you.
