Job Description

Our client is a top 10 pharmaceutical company are now looking for a Integrated Healthcare Specialist to join their team.

Purpose: You will be driving sales and market share growth for your brands, across the local health economy accounts you focus on, as agreed with your Integrated Healthcare Manager. You should be pro-active in identifying and recommending opportunities for you to develop your business in your therapy area. You will be responsible for promotion to the key influencers across primary and secondary care in your LHEs. You should provide a high level of therapy area expertise, insight and understanding of the NHS environment, so that you can identify solutions for NHS customers and facilitate change that benefits patients and our business.


Accountabilities Summary:


  • You will be accountable for increasing prescribing of your brand through effective promotion to the senior/influential customers (agreed with your Integrated Healthcare Manager) across the local health economies your Integrated Healthcare Manager directs you to work on. This will include Hospital Consultants, Specialist Registrar's, GP Specialists, PCO Prescribing Leads, Commissioning Leads etc)

  • You will be accountable for facilitating change progIntegrated Healthcare Manager mes that shape the environment favourably for your brand in your LHEs.

  • You will be accountable for pro-actively identifying what is needed for your account team to succeed with your brand and for championing the needs of your brand in the account team. If requested, you will be accountable for effective training of your colleagues on your therapy area, your brand and the NHS context for prescribers in your therapy area.

Qualifications, Background

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Full driving licence

  • ABPI qualification

  • Business/ Commercial related degree

  • Wellard's diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience of working in an NHS or pharmaceutical industry role
  • Proven track record of sales & business management success
  • Proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision-making process across hospitals and primary car
  • Deep knowledge of chosen therapy are
  • Self starter & effective problem solver - responsible for own actions and results
