Latest figures suggest that there are more than 1,100 Franchisors in the UK operating in over 75 industries, and 30,000 individual Franchisees taking advantage of the opportunities this represents.

The downturn is seeing an explosion in Franchising.  Enquiries to British Banks for funding the purchase of a Franchise are up 25% year on year.  Individuals, perhaps in many cases empowered by a redundancy cheque, are seeking more control over their life and work and correctly see Franchising as a means to achieving those admirable goals.
